Free uptime monitoring — on every hostname
No other DDNS provider bundles monitoring. We own both the DNS layer and the monitoring layer, giving us structural advantages: we suppress alerts during zone maintenance, detect stale clients before IPs change, and know exactly when propagation should complete.
No confirmation nag. No expiry. Ever.
No-IP deletes your hostname if you don't click a confirmation link every 30 days. We think that's hostile to users. Your hostname is yours until you delete it. No emails, no threats, no dark patterns.

DynDNS2 for routers, a simple URL for cron/curl, and a full REST API for automation. Every client is supported from day one.

Choose from sploink.org, floatypotato.com, tinypotato.org, or indirection.org. Your hostname is organic marketing every time someone sees it in a config file or forum post.
Scoped API tokens
Create tokens restricted to specific hostnames and record types. Give your router a token that can only update its own A record. Principle of least privilege, built in.
Server-side IP detection
Don't know your public IP? Don't send it. We detect it from the request automatically. Also provides a free /ip endpoint for scripts.
Full update log
Every IP change is logged: what changed, when, how (DynDNS2, API, or curl), and whether it succeeded. Full transparency for debugging.
